Our Story

With 35 years of work experience in a diverse range of career roles under her belt, along with a zesty get ‘er done approach, the new entrepreneur experienced a sudden influx of opportunities. Around the same time Charleen noticed that many of her peers were also seeking career change. Family, friends and professional acquaintances were recruited to join her, and with that PlanIt was born.

Today, PlanIt has over 20 renewing clients both local and external. All in all, our positive growth can be attributed to teamwork, doing what we love and a continuum of learning. We overcome obstacles together to provide the absolute best for our clients, laying the foundation for trust and success. Trust that we will communicate with respect, honesty and an eye for detail.

PlanIt originated from the growing need for Kahnawà:ke organizations to outsource their unique business projects to a freelance technician who could take their idea, develop a strategy and bring it to fruition. Charleen Schurman, at a career crossroads, took the chance and branched out on her own to try filling the gap in the local business market.

From the very beginning, PlanIt’s mission has been to establish trust with clients. That trust isn’t empty, either… it’s a promise to get the job done right! If a client’s needs are outside of our expertise, we learn how to accommodate them. If we can’t do it ourselves, we connect them with someone who can, using our extensive network of professionals.
